Curation & Care

In a large, privately aging reserve, our bourbon stock has been under the careful consideration and control of Western Spirits. The bourbon must meet our highest standards for character, body and overall flavor before being used to craft our prestigious and robust Kentucky bourbons. The releases, under the Calumet Farm Bourbon brand, have allowed for an extremely unique, and rare bourbon tasting experience over the total age and existence of our premium bourbon line.

A Truly Unique Aged-Bourbon Experience

This award-winning mash bill and subsequent bourbons can be tasted throughout time, capturing the true essence of the bourbon whiskey aging process. The milestones of the bourbon's journey have been celebrated with each release. This rare experience encapsulates those past releases, and continues through new offerings of the 17 year-old and 18 year-old bourbons, and beyond. Being able to experience the aging of such premium barrels, released in extremely small quantities, affords the palate unparalleled access to the bourbons true aging nature and the evolution of the flavor profile.

Although corn is the predominate grain, the mash bill used to craft Calumet Farm Bourbons is traditionally known as a ‘high-rye’ mash mixture. These percentages allow for the bold, yet smooth flavors of the bourbon to present well in the more aged expressions.

Accolades & Awards

The storied lineage of Calumet Farm Bourbon's whiskey pedigree dates back well before some of the early releases and the first competitions the brand entered, but the early wins did showcase the quality of bourbon the brand was crafting releases with. Undeterred by 2nd place the year prior, our 12 year-old Kentucky straight bourbon earn its first major Gold medal in 2019 at the WSWA competition, putting the brand firmly on the national bourbon stage. Fancy Bar - Calumet Farm Bourbon
The Pedigree - Calumet Farm Bourbon

For over a decade, we have been aging and caring for a large reserve of private bourbon. Barrels are selected by a set of rigid criteria and only pulled when the bourbon inside is truly ready to become Calumet Farm Bourbon.

— Western Spirits Beverage Company

Western Spirits Beverage Company has owned and aged its premium stock of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey for over a decade. Over this time, barrels have been sampled and ‘picked-over’ much like trainers reviewing a sire. Many barrels fall short of possessing the characteristics and qualities needed to make our bourbon. Even fewer are selected to craft our prestigious line of bourbons. Such high standards produce higher quality bourbons but also restrict the supply we offer to consumers.

Working closely with the team at Three Springs Bottling in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Calumet Farm Bourbons are crafted with care and the firm understanding that to truly produce ‘a winning spirit’, quality must be paramount.

We use extremely small batches of just 19 barrels for our Single Rack Black program. All barrels used are aged in a single, center cut rack from the ideal maturation location and conditions inside the rick house. These expressions of the Calumet Farm Bourbon family are a true convergence of craftsmanship and flavor.

Our most premium 16, 15, and 14 Year Old Single Rack Black Kentucky Straight Bourbons are Non-Chill Filtered for added depth of character and color.
